The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 2 Stage - 10.86:1 Ratio, StageB 2 Stage - 22.67:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed with an improved 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for seamless transitions between speeds. It accommodates two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.

Several enhancements distinguish this model from previous iterations. The dog gear now features four dogs on each face, providing increased strength, and is constructed from AMPCO® 18 Bronze, which offers added lubricity for smoother shifting. The shift block assembly has been reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing. The input stage employs 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users can independently select high and low ratios and swap them as needed, with additional encoder options available.

The gearbox is designed for easy assembly and disassembly, with cluster gears featuring identical characteristics on both sides. An optional third stage offers additional ratio choices, and the gearbox can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2"x1" box tube frame. The pneumatic shift method utilizes a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, enabling shifting even during acceleration or deceleration.

The EVO Shifter requires proper greasing for optimal performance and longevity. It is recommended to run the gearbox for a short period without grease to allow the gear teeth to wear in before applying grease. The encoder ratio for two-stage versions is 3:1, ensuring precise control and feedback during operation. The gearbox's robust construction and innovative features make it a versatile and reliable choice for various applications.
