The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage - 12.00:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 Stage - 32.74:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed with an improved 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It accommodates motor input from two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed, even if included in the order.

The EVO Shifter incorporates several enhancements over previous models, including a robust 1/8" diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO® 18 Bronze, which provides added lubricity and strength. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, ensuring durability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users have the ability to independently select high and low ratios, and can swap ratios as needed, providing versatility in operation.

The gearbox features aggressive weight reduction through machined gears and plates, and the cluster gears are designed for easy assembly without concern for orientation. An optional third stage offers additional ratio choices, enhancing customization. The gearbox can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2"x1" box tube frame, making it adaptable to various applications.

The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder for reliable performance during acceleration, pushing, or deceleration. The gearbox requires proper greasing for optimal operation and longevity, with a recommended break-in period to ensure smooth functionality. Encoder options are available, with a 3:1 ratio between the output shaft and encoder shaft for two-stage versions.

Note: Ensure proper installation of the pinion gear using a 3-ton arbor press for NEO motors, and apply Red Loctite 271 for CIM motors to secure the pinion in place.
