The AndyMark EVO Shifter Short Keyed Shaft, StageA 2 - 06.00:1 Ratio, StageB 2 - 04.77:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is designed with mounting plates for two motors and is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.

Significant improvements have been made over previous models, including the use of AMPCO® 18 Bronze for the dog gear, which provides added lubricity and strength. The gearbox features a robust shift block assembly with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, enhancing durability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, allowing for a high first stage reduction. Users have the freedom to select their high and low ratios independently, and the gearbox supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T.

The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder for seamless shifting even under acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox is designed for aggressive weight reduction, with machined gears and plates, and can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2"x1" box tube frame. It is essential to apply grease periodically for optimal operation and longevity, though the AMPCO® bronze dog gear does not require greasing.

Note: When using a NEO motor, a 3-ton arbor press is required to install the pinion due to the intended interference fit.
