The AndyMark EVO Slim 22.67:1 Ratio, ~2in Shaft Length is a high-performance, lightweight gearbox designed to enhance the drive trains of competition robots. This single-speed gearbox is part of the EVO Slim line, which shares several components with the EVO Shifter, including weight-relieving features and robust construction using all steel gears and aluminum plates. It is delivered in kit form, allowing for customization and assembly to accommodate up to three motors, although motors are not included.
The gearbox is compatible with both CIM and NEO motors, offering flexibility in motor selection. It features a 15 Tooth 32DP pinion gear that does not require a key, although installation procedures vary depending on the motor type. For NEO motors, a 3-ton arbor press is necessary due to the interference fit, while CIM motors may require either a slip fit or press fit, with the application of red Loctite 271 for secure attachment.
The EVO Slim gearbox also supports encoder integration, accepting either the E4T Optical Encoder Kit or the SRX Mag Encoder. This requires a 3D printed mount plate, and additional mounting hardware is necessary when using the SRX Mag Encoder. The gearbox's design ensures compatibility with future updates, as provisions for encoder mounting will be incorporated into the motor plates.
