The AndyMark EVO Slim for West Coast Drive 22.67:1 Ratio is a high-performance, lightweight gearbox designed to enhance the drive trains of competition robots. This gearbox is part of the EVO Slim series, which shares several components with the EVO Shifter, including steel gears and aluminum plates that contribute to its robust construction. The gearbox is compatible with the AndyMark West Coast Drive Chassis and is shipped in kit form, allowing for customization according to specific motor requirements.
The EVO Slim gearbox is engineered to accommodate either two NEO or CIM motors, although these motors are not included with the gearbox. It features a standard Toughbox® Long Hex Output Shaft, with the option to switch to other Toughbox® Output Shafts if desired. The gearbox utilizes a 15 Tooth 32DP pinion gear, which requires specific installation procedures depending on the motor type. For NEO motors, a 3-ton arbor press is necessary due to the interference fit, while CIM motors may require either a slip fit or a press fit, with the application of red Loctite 271 for secure attachment.
Additionally, the EVO Slim for CIM supports the integration of either the E4T Optical Encoder Kit or the SRX Mag Encoder, necessitating a 3D printed mount plate for installation. Future iterations will include pre-drilled holes in the motor plates to accommodate the Encoder Mount Pad. The SRX Magnetic Encoder Mounting Hardware Kit is required when using the SRX Mag Encoder.
