The AndyMark EVO Slim for West Coast Drive 6.00:1 Ratio is a high-performance, lightweight gearbox designed to enhance the drive trains of competition robots. This gearbox is part of the EVO Slim series, which shares several components with the EVO Shifter, including steel gears and aluminum plates that contribute to its robust construction. It is specifically engineered to be compatible with the AndyMark West Coast Drive Chassis, providing a reliable solution for competitive robotics applications.
This gearbox is delivered in kit form, allowing for customization and assembly according to specific requirements. It is designed to accommodate either two NEO or CIM motors, although these motors are not included with the gearbox. The EVO Slim features a 15 Tooth 32DP pinion gear, which requires precise installation procedures. For those using a NEO motor, a 3-ton arbor press is necessary to achieve the intended interference fit, while the CIM motor may require either a slip fit or a press fit, depending on manufacturing tolerances.
The gearbox also supports encoder options, including the E4T Optical Encoder Kit or the SRX Mag Encoder, which necessitate a 3D printed mount plate. The SRX Magnetic Encoder Mounting Hardware Kit is required when using the SRX Mag Encoder. This adaptability ensures that the EVO Slim can meet various performance and monitoring needs in competitive settings.
