The Benewake UAV LiDAR TFA300 w/ IP67 Protective Housing is a compact, high-frequency LiDAR sensor designed for UAV platforms that require both robust environmental protection and exceptional performance. Equipped with an IP67-rated protective housing, the TFA300 delivers the same ultra-fast, high-precision sensing as its lighter counterpart while offering enhanced durability for operation in the most demanding outdoor environments.
Though still lightweight at 34.5 grams, the TFA300 integrates a powerful sensing engine capable of operating at a default frequency of 1–1,000 Hz, adjustable up to 10,000 Hz in ultra-high-frequency mode. This enables real-time distance updates every 3.4 cm, allowing for accurate camera focus adjustment, stable cruise-level altitude hold, and rapid obstacle detection—even at Mach 1 flight speeds.
The TFA300 is built for seamless integration with UAV systems, using industry-standard JST GH connectors and a CAN interface for next-generation flight control compatibility. An SDK based on the DroneCAN protocol ensures effortless communication with most mainstream flight controllers, dramatically accelerating development and deployment.
Engineered for rugged field conditions, the TFA300 performs reliably in fog, dust, rain, and under intense ambient light up to 100 KLux, significantly reducing false detection events common in traditional LiDAR units. Its proven performance has contributed to over 400,000 safe and successful drone deliveries worldwide.
