The BlueBoat Hatch Base & Latches fasten and seal to the BlueBoat Hull and are compatible with the BlueBoat Hatch Lids. This component is designed for use with the BlueBoat but can also be adapted for other USV hulls. The package includes latches and installation hardware, though the Hatch Lids for port and starboard sides are sold separately.
The development of the BlueBoat Hatch Base and Latches was a meticulous process, ensuring a high-quality product. The Hatch Base employs a foam O-ring to create a secure seal with the hull and is held in place by an included backing plate and hardware. It is symmetrical and identical for both port and starboard sides, necessitating two units for a pair of hulls.
This Hatch Base is specifically designed to fit the cutout on the top of the BlueBoat hull. However, it can also be adapted for other USV hulls or containers by cutting the same shape, using the backing plate as a template. The custom-designed latches provide a secure attachment for the Hatch Lid to the Hatch Base, producing a satisfying click when properly secured.
