The Bravo RC Tank Track Chassis (Grouser Paddles, 50lb Payload, 2Mph) is a robust, remote-controllable tank-track robotics platform designed for immediate use upon assembly. This versatile kit is ideal for both experienced roboticists and newcomers to the field, offering a seamless introduction to robotics through the goBILDA® build system.

This particular version of the Bravo RC Tank Chassis is equipped with grouser paddles, which enhance its ability to navigate loose terrain. The chassis is powered by a comprehensive suite of 20V electronics, including the goBILDA® Smart Dock, which supports any battery with the 20V DEWALT® form factor. The kit includes a 6Ah goBILDA® Li-ion battery with an LED power level indicator and a charger, ensuring that the chassis is ready for action right out of the box.

The power from the Smart-Docked battery is transmitted via an XT90 extension to a 2x40A Motor Controller, which proportionally manages a pair of Saturn Planetary Gear Motors. These motors are known for their high torque, featuring all-steel gears and 8mm REX shafts, making them exceptionally durable and powerful.

The Element-6 control system facilitates intuitive remote control with built-in channel mixing. The right stick on the remote provides proportional control over the chassiss speed and direction, while the left stick, a knob, and a switch offer additional control over servos and other devices that can be added to the chassis for specialized tasks.

The combination of Grid-Tracks and terraGROUSER paddles grants the Bravo Chassis exceptional traction on loose terrain. The assembly instructions suggest installing a grouser paddle on every other Grid-Track, but users can adjust the spacing to suit their specific environment. This flexibility allows the chassis to perform optimally across various terrains.

For those who require a gentler footprint, the Grid-Tracks without grouser paddles are suitable for delicate surfaces such as carpets and manicured lawns. These tracks are also advantageous for heavier payloads, as their smooth surface reduces the current draw on the motors during turns.

Additionally, the Bravo Chassis is available in other variants, including one with rubber treads and a bare-bones version without electronics, motors, or tracks. This allows users to customize their chassis according to their specific needs and preferences.
