This plug-and-play kit is an ideal starting point for those embarking on a robotics journey using the goBILDA® build system, as well as for experienced roboticists seeking a durable chassis.

This particular version of the Bravo RC Tank Chassis is equipped with high-traction rubber treads. Alternative variants include one with grouser paddles and another that offers only the basic chassis without electronics, motors, or tracks. The heavy-duty performance of the Bravo RC Tank Track Chassis Kit is facilitated by a comprehensive suite of 20V electronics, including the goBILDA® Smart Dock, which allows for the use of any battery with the 20V DEWALT® form factor. The kit includes a 6Ah goBILDA® Li-ion battery with an LED power level indicator, ensuring sufficient power supply right out of the box.

The Smart-Docked battery powers the 2x40A Motor Controller, which proportionally manages a pair of Saturn Planetary Gear Motors. These motors are known for their high torque, featuring all-steel gears and positive-drive 8mm REX shafts. The Element-6 control system, with built-in channel mixing, provides intuitive remote control. The rightmost stick offers proportional control over the chassiss speed and direction, while the left stick, a knob, and a switch control servos and other devices for specific tasks.

The Bravo RC Tank Chassis is equipped with rubber-treaded Badlands Tank Tracks, making it suitable for various terrains. The tracks are adaptable, allowing for the replacement of segments with Grid-Tracks to achieve the desired tread. Grid-Tracks can be further enhanced with terraGROUSER paddles for improved traction on loose terrain. The rubber treads are particularly effective on rugged terrains, while the grouser paddles excel in different environments.

For delicate terrains such as carpets and manicured lawns, Grid-Tracks are recommended due to their less aggressive footprint. They are also suitable for heavier payloads, as their smooth surface reduces the current draw on the motors during turns.
