The Bravo RC Tank Track Chassis (Rubber Treads, 50lb Payload, 2Mph) is a robust, remote-controllable tank-track robotics platform designed for immediate use upon assembly. This plug-and-play kit is an ideal starting point for those embarking on a robotics journey with the goBILDA® build system, as well as for experienced roboticists seeking a durable chassis.

This version of the Bravo RC Tank Chassis features high-traction rubber treads, with other variants available that include grouser paddles or a "bare-bones" chassis without electronics, motors, or tracks. The heavy-duty performance of the Bravo RC Tank Track Chassis Kit is facilitated by a comprehensive suite of 20V electronics, including the goBILDA® Smart Dock, which allows for compatibility with any battery using the 20V DEWALT® form factor. The kit includes a 6Ah goBILDA® Li-ion battery with an LED power level indicator and a charger.

Power is delivered from the Smart-Docked battery through an XT90 extension to the 2x40A Motor Controller, which proportionally controls a pair of Saturn Planetary Gear Motors. These motors are equipped with all-steel gears and 8mm REX shafts, providing substantial torque. The chassis is available with motors of different ratios, each offering distinct payload and speed specifications. The 99.5:1 ratio motors in this version allow for a maximum payload of 50lbs at a speed of 2mph.

The Element-6 control system, known for its reliability, uses built-in channel mixing for intuitive remote control. The right stick offers proportional control over speed and direction, while the left stick, a knob, and a switch manage servos and other devices, enabling the chassis to perform specific tasks.

The rubber-treaded Badlands Tank Tracks equip the Bravo RC Tank Chassis to handle various terrains. These tracks are adaptable, allowing for the replacement of segments with Grid-Tracks (available separately) to achieve optimal tread. Grid-Tracks can be further enhanced with terraGROUSER paddles for improved traction on loose terrain. The rubber treads excel on concrete, smooth flooring, soil, and grass, while the grouser paddles are more effective on loose soil, gravel, tall grass, and snow.

For delicate terrains such as carpet and manicured lawns, Grid-Tracks are recommended due to their less aggressive footprint, which also reduces motor current draw during turns. The Bravo Bare-Bones Chassis Kit can be customized with Grid-Tracks, Badlands Tank Tracks, a 20V Control Bundle, and Saturn Planetary Gear Motors to suit specific preferences.

Note: Stalling the motors in this kit may cause irreparable damage. The motors are extremely high-power and should not be allowed to stall, which can occur if the maximum payload is exceeded or the chassis is immobilized by obstacles.
