The Cytron Cm4 Maker Board Carrier Raspberry Pi CM4 (Board Only) is a carrier board specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4). This product was officially introduced to the market on the 19th of October, 2020, and is available in 32 different variants. The CM4 and its counterpart, the Compute Module 4 Lite (CM4Lite), are loosely based on the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B.
The CM4 offers an option for cost-sensitive applications to be supplied without the eMMC fitted, a version known as the CM4Lite. The form factor of the CM4 and CM4L differs from previous Compute modules due to the addition of new interfaces such as a second HDMI, PCIe, and Ethernet. The electrical interface of the CM4 is facilitated through two 100-pin high-density connectors. The total footprint of the CM4, including the socket, is smaller due to the new form factor design.
The CM4 Maker Board is equipped with a variety of features including 10x GPIO LED, a microSD Card Slot, a CSI Camera Port, a DSI Display Port, 5x Grove Ports, 2x GPIO Ports, a PWM Port, a UART Port, an I2C Port, a Maker Port, 3x User Buttons, an Analog Audio Out, a Piezo Buzzer, a Buzzer Mute Switch, 2x Power Buttons, an RTC Battery Holder, a PCF85063A RTC, an External Power Button Header, a Boot Switch, an M.2 Connector, 2x M.2 Mounting Hole, a USB-C, an HDMI, 4x USB 2.0 Host, a Gigabit Ethernet, a CM4 Socket, GPIOs Breakout, a DC Power Jack, and 4x Status LEDs.
