Superior functionality compared to most gesture sensors
Ideal for non-contact operation applications
Offers a sensing distance of up to 30cm
The DFRobot Fermion: GR10-30 Gesture Sensor (Breakout, UART & I2C, 12 Gestures, 0~30cm) is a sophisticated device capable of identifying 12 distinct hand gestures. These include movements in all directions - up, down, left, right, forward, and backward, as well as rotational gestures both clockwise and counterclockwise, continuous rotation in both directions, hovering, and waving.
The sensor allows for the customization of parameters such as the gesture trigger distance, the angle of hand rotation, the hovering time, and the size of the recognition window, thereby enhancing the accuracy of results.
The GR10-30 Gesture Sensor is characterized by its stable performance and high precision, with a sensing distance that extends up to 30 cm. It is equipped with two interrupt pins that signal when a gesture trigger occurs and when an object enters the recognition range.
In comparison to most gesture recognition sensors that utilize the PAJ7620U2 chip, the GR10-30 Gesture Sensor offers superior functionality. While the PAJ7620U2 chip supports 9 types of hand gestures and has a recognition distance of 20cm, the GR10-30 Gesture Sensor recognizes three additional gestures and has a longer recognition distance.
The sensor is particularly suitable for non-contact operation applications. These include but are not limited to, gesture remote controllers, robot interaction, human-machine interface control, lighting control, and gesture game machines.
