The FireBeetle 2 ESP32-S3-U (N16R8) AIoT Microcontroller Board w/ Wi-Fi, Bluetooth & Camera is a high-performance primary controller, constructed around the ESP32-S3-U-WROOM-1-N16R8 module. This microcontroller comes with an OV2640 camera, making it highly suitable for applications that require image recognition. The ESP32-S3-U module is known for its generous storage capacity and a comprehensive set of communication interfaces, making it adaptable to a broad spectrum of application requirements.
The included OV2640 camera, with its 2-megapixel capacity, a 68° field of view, and a resolution of up to 1600 x 1200, can be employed for home monitoring purposes. It can automatically send notifications and store image data when movement is detected.
The ESP32-S3-U chip accelerates neural network computing and signal processing workloads, making the module a preferred choice for various applications, including speech and image recognition.
The FireBeetle 2 ESP32-S3-U supports dual-mode communication with WiFi and Bluetooth 5 (LE), simplifying the networking process. It also supports Bluetooth Mesh protocol and Espressif WiFi Mesh, ensuring more stable communication and a larger coverage area.
This development board is designed with user-friendliness in mind, addressing the intricacies of screen wiring through its onboard GDI screen interface. It also integrates power management features, including battery charging and hardware power control. The FireBeetle 2 ESP32-S3-U is compatible with programming through the Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF, and MicroPython, allowing developers to use both C and Python to interact with the hardware.
