Suitable for use with any K-type thermocouple probe
The Gravity: I2C High Temperature Sensor (K-Type, 800℃) comprises a signal amplification conversion module and a stainless steel sheathed K-type thermocouple probe. When the probe is exposed to a high-temperature heat source, it generates a small voltage proportional to the temperature due to the thermoelectric effect. This voltage is then amplified and converted to digital signals by the module, which utilizes a MAX31855K dedicated chip for this purpose. The module also compensates for any discrepancies in the readings. Temperature data can be accessed through the Gravity I2C interface. The sensor is capable of measuring a broad temperature range from -270°C to 1372°C, with an error margin of ±2°C for temperatures between -200°C and 700°C, and ±4°C for temperatures between 700°C and 1350°C. The included K-type thermocouple can measure temperatures up to 800°C with an error margin of ±2.5°C.
