The Grove Speech Recognition Module is designed for voice control applications such as smart home, smart toys, voice control robots, or anything you would like to control through the voice, it is worth a try. The board includes a Nuvoton ISD9160, a microphone, 1 SPI flash, 1 grove connector,1 speaker connector and 1 LED to reflect to your voice.
A little disappointing, no trainable custom words.
I should have looked at specification first, Robot Shop didn’t have a link, but I found it on web. It only recognises 22 pre-programmed words and you cannot add any more. The VeeaR – EasyVR is much more sophisticated with pre-defined and trainable words you can add. Unfortunately Robot Shop don't sell it anymore.
