The Luxonis OAK-SoM Pro S3 is a sophisticated device equipped with the Robotics Vision Core 3 and a quad-core ARM CPU. This device is perfectly suited for applications in industrial automation, robotics, and security systems. It was primarily developed with a focus on evaluation and backward compatibility. For the development of new products, the use of the OAK-SoM MAX is recommended.
The Oak-SoM S3 System on Module (SoM) is designed to be integrated into high-level systems that require low-power, high-performance, real-time AI and depth perception. It connects to the system via two 10-gbps-rated 100-pin connectors and includes a 100-pin mezzanine connector with the same pinout as the OAK-Som Pro. It features 2x 4-lane and 2x 2-lane MIPI RX lines and supports a variety of boot modes such as NOR, eMMC, USB, and Ethernet (EEPROM). Additionally, it is compatible with SD card and USB 3.1 Gen 2.
The Professional Oak-SoM S3 is designed to match the dimensions and pinout of the OAK-SoM Pro, making it easily interchangeable with OAK cameras. Built on the RVC3, it boasts 3.0 TOPS for AI and supports a range of functions including imaging, encoding/decoding, computer vision, stereo depth perception with filtering, post-processing, RGB-depth alignment, high configurability, and object tracking. The device measures 30 x 45 x 4 mm and weighs a mere 5g. The package comes complete with the Oak-SoM S3, a heatsink, and screws.
Please note that due to size and shape constraints, the device only supports 1x DDR RAM.
