plastic bearings
the reason to use this over simply a fixed servo is that this has plastic bearings that take care of some of the load. very convenient.

I purchased the Lynxmotion Base Kit to be the platform for a sensor test board - basically a 10"x10" piece of plywood that has a RoboRIO controller, pixy camera, ultrasonic, Lidar, & HD camera along with some other test devices. Even with that weight the base unit turns the board effortlessly. We'll see how the durability is over the long hall.
