Obstacle Detection Laser Sensor

The sensor will detect a light coloured surface 1.5 m away. Darker surfaces are detected closer. It has a power light and an object detected light which means it can be tested in stand alone mode with just a power connection. Its three pin header takes a standard servo lead. The documentation you can download is sketchy at best. The digital output, pin 1, is high if nothing is detected and goes low on detection, but you won't find that out from the documentation.

The lasers on these sensors put out a strong beam, but I'm not getting the range I hoped for - except when the interrupting object is quite reflective.

Great Product, one of the 11 didn't work so well though

Need to measure the RPMs for a blower and didn't want to risk unbalancing it with magnets and Hall sensor. Also didn't want anything to get sucked in and make a mess. Settled on a Laser safely secured away from the blower and a sticky reflective target on the wheel. Works great. I initially bought 2 others on that "Jungle" website and both failed (laser never lit up and soldering was poor).
