The Parallax USB to Serial (RS-232) Adapter with Cable is compact and economical to provide a Virtual Com Port for all of products that have a DB9 (9-pin) serial connector. The cable is included. The updated FTDI USB drivers for Windows are included in the latest versions of the BASIC Stamp Editor, Propeller Tool, and SX-Key IDE software packages.

The adapter works right out of the box in Windows 10. Had to install Parallax driver in XP (FTDI drivers didn't work). I use for my job to connect to old PLC and I find much more reliable than any Prolofic based adapter... Just wished there was a case of some kind to protect it when I carry it in my bag.

Solid product
Worked on both Win10 & Raspbian without installing any driver. Doesn't come with a hard case but is not a concern in my project.
