The Phidgets Soil Moisture Sensor is engineered to gauge the moisture levels in the soil by observing the capacitance between its prongs when inserted into the soil. The sensor generates a value ranging from 0 to 1, which signifies the moisture content of the soil. This device proves to be extremely beneficial for automated gardening projects and environmental research. The HUM1100 model interfaces with a computer via a VINT Hub. It should be noted that the moisture values produced by the sensor can fluctuate based on the type of soil being examined.
