The Pololu 1000:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor LP 6V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Back Connector is a compact brushed DC motor equipped with a robust metal gearbox. It features a gearbox cross section measuring 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft with a diameter of 3 mm and a length of 9 mm. This gearmotor is designed to deliver precise motion control, making it suitable for applications requiring high torque and low speed.
Integrated within the motor is a two-channel incremental Hall effect encoder, which detects the rotation of a magnetic disk attached to the motor shaft's rear protrusion. This encoder provides a resolution of 12 counts per revolution (CPR) by counting both edges of both channels, ensuring accurate feedback for position and speed control. The encoder is equipped with a 6-pin JST SH-style male connector, compatible with corresponding cables and connector boards.
The back connector orientation of the encoder is parallel to the motor, facilitating streamlined integration into various mechanical systems. This gearmotor is ideal for projects that demand compactness without compromising on performance, offering a gear ratio of 986.41:1. Note: A cable is not included with this gearmotor.
