Pololu 12V, 300mA Step-Down Voltage Regulator D24V3F12
Converts to stable 12V output from up to 42V input
Achieves 80% to 90% efficiency
Includes short-circuit and thermal protection
Operates at 1.25 MHz switching frequency
No reverse-voltage protection included
The Pololu 12V, 300mA Step-Down Voltage Regulator D24V3F12 efficiently converts higher input voltages up to 42 V into a stable 12 V output. This switching regulator, also known as a DC-to-DC converter, offers an efficiency range of 80% to 90%, making it significantly more efficient than linear regulators, particularly when there is a large voltage difference. It features integrated short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown to prevent overheating.
Note: The board lacks reverse-voltage protection.
