The Pololu 3.3V, 2.5A Step-Down Voltage Regulator D24V25F3 efficiently converts high input voltages up to 38 V to a stable 3.3 V output. This switching regulator achieves efficiencies between 85% and 95%, making it significantly more efficient than linear regulators, particularly with large voltage differences. It supports an output current up to 2.5 A, with automatic frequency adjustments at light loads to maintain efficiency. The device features reverse-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and a soft-start function to manage inrush current.
