The Pololu Ball Caster with 1/2" Metal Ball includes a black ABS housing, a 1/2" diameter metal ball, two spacers (1/16" and 1/8" thick) and two #2 screw sets. The total height of this ball caster is 0.53" with no spacers. You can also adjust the height by adding the spacers. The ball caster can be mounted to a chassis by the two screw sets included in the kit. The distance between the two screw holes is 0.58".

Very small, Did not work for my idea, Which was to have a movable table

Perfect tiny sized caster

It can be hard to find a ball caster this small that works well. These were perfect for mini-bot projects with 2 wheeled drives.

Excellent item for small line-following robot

Distance between mounting hole centers was 15mm. Overall height was about 13.6mm. Two 2mm x 12mm pan head Philips screws & nuts were included for mounting along with 2 plastic spacers - 1.62mm & 2.95mm. The ball is very free running and held up well running the robot on concrete floor. Tip: Remove ball from plastic housing before installing screws then pop it back in.

These worked well for my application. Plastic seems plenty strong.
