The Pololu High-Power Simple Motor Controller G2 24v12 is a versatile, single-channel motor controller designed for straightforward bidirectional control of brushed DC motors. Supporting five control interfaces — USB, TTL serial, I²C, RC hobby servo pulses, and analog voltage — it integrates seamlessly into a wide range of applications, from PC-connected projects to embedded systems and RC-controlled robots. Configuration is quick and easy using Pololu's free Windows software, which also enables real-time testing and monitoring over USB.
The SMC G2 24v12 operates across a wide 6.5 V to 40 V range and delivers up to 12 A of continuous output current without requiring a heat sink. It includes G2-generation improvements such as reverse-voltage protection, hardware current limiting via current chopping, an I²C interface, and a USB Micro-B connector. Male header pins and terminal blocks are included but not pre-soldered, allowing flexible installation. A version with connectors pre-soldered is also available separately.
