The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 IO Board is crafted to facilitate the development of products utilizing the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5. It incorporates numerous interfaces akin to those found on the Raspberry Pi 5, serving as both a reference design and a standalone product. The board supports the integration of M.2 M Key cards and Raspberry Pi HATs, enhancing its versatility for various applications.
The accompanying Raspberry Pi IO Case is a robust two-piece metal enclosure designed to house the Compute Module 5 and its IO Board. This case accommodates additional accessories such as an M.2 SSD or a PoE+ HAT+, and features slots for connecting CSI-2 cameras or DSI displays. A built-in controllable fan is included to manage thermal conditions during high-power operations. The case is designed with cut-outs for easy access to HDMI, Ethernet, USB-A, and USB-C connectors, as well as the SD card slot, ensuring seamless connectivity.
This IO Board is equipped with a standard 40-pin GPIO header, Gigabit Ethernet with PoE+ support, USB 3 sockets, and a microSD card socket for Compute Module 5 Lite modules. It also includes an M.2 M key PCIe socket, a 4-pin fan connector, MIPI DSI/CSI-2 FPC connectors, a Raspberry Pi HAT+ connector, an RTC battery socket, and full-size HDMI connectors. Additionally, it features an external USB-C power supply and a power button for managing the Compute Module 5's operations.
