The Robosense Ruby Plus 128-Beam LiDAR for L4 Autonomous Vehicles represents a significant advancement in LiDAR technology, specifically tailored for commercial operations of autonomous vehicles. This sophisticated device boasts a remarkable long-range capability, able to detect objects at a distance of up to 240 meters even with a low reflectivity of 10%. The Ruby Plus outperforms the RS-Ruby and similar models by achieving a 20% increase in ranging capability.

The ultra-high resolution of 0.1° x 0.1° at 10Hz ensures that the Ruby Plus captures detailed environmental information from afar. This high resolution, combined with its intensity ranging capability, allows for the easy detection of black vehicles within a 240-meter range and the discernment of lane lines up to 85 meters away. The device features 104 channels with a vertical angular resolution of 0.1° and 128 channels in high-performance mode with a horizontal angular resolution of 0.1° at 10Hz.

Accuracy is paramount in autonomous vehicle navigation, and the Ruby Plus excels with a high accuracy rate of ±2cm across a range from 0.4m to 240m. This precision enables the laser point cloud to accurately restore the three-dimensional world, ensuring safe and reliable navigation.
