The Robot Power Scorpion XL 2.0 Dual Channel R/C Motor Controller 20A, 5.5-28V is a versatile and high-performance speed controller designed for small robots ranging from one to twelve pounds. Utilizing advanced automotive-rated power chips, it offers exceptional power handling and load protection. This controller is ideal for sumo robots, ant and beetle weight combat robots, as well as other small robotic applications such as firefighting robots, maze solvers, and carpet rovers. It can also be used for scooters and robots up to 30 pounds, provided the motor current limits are adhered to.

The Scorpion XL features built-in drive and mixing functions, providing an all-in-one solution for small robots and other loads. It is equipped with fully reversible H-bridge channels and supports a battery voltage range of 5.5V to 28V. The controller includes metal screw terminals for secure motor and battery connections, eliminating the need for soldering. It can handle a continuous current of 12.5A with peaks up to 30A on each drive channel, and it incorporates full current and temperature limiting for enhanced reliability.

The controller is designed to work seamlessly with common R/C systems and can be driven by microcontrollers using servo command outputs. It includes a receiver battery eliminator circuit, a failsafe feature to shut off motors if the R/C signal is lost, and a calibration function to match the controller to the radio or signal source.
