The Robotnik RB-THERON Autonomous Mobile Transport Robot (Industrial) is engineered for autonomous transport within confined indoor environments, characterized by its compact design. It boasts a payload capacity of 200 kilograms and features an enhanced traction system, making it suitable for industrial settings such as factories and warehouses where the automation of load transport is highly beneficial. The robot is equipped with lasers and a safety PLC, ensuring safe operation in environments where human presence is common.
This robot is capable of integrating various customized applications, including people tracking, and offers options such as an automatic docking station and a lifting system designed for the transport of shelves, trolleys, or similar items. The RB-THERON employs dual methods for obstacle detection: an RGBD sensor and a laser system used for navigation and localization. These systems enable the robot to either halt or reroute to avoid obstacles, ensuring efficient navigation to its designated waypoint.
The embedded software of the RB-THERON includes a control system, a laser-based localization system, and a navigation system, complemented by a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) user interface. The localization and navigation components are standard packages that can be custom-configured to meet specific application requirements. The robot's architecture is modular and based on the Robot Operating System (ROS), facilitating adaptability and integration into various industrial applications.
