The ServoCity 4 Stage Viper-Slide Kit (Belt-Driven, 336mm Slides) offers a smooth and stable sliding motion through its belt-driven mechanism. It features steel Viper-Slides and a 2mm pitch GT2 belt, providing a robust structure and an easy assembly process with various customization options. The timing belt enhances the simplicity and reliability of the drive system, eliminating the need for tension control with springs and ensuring consistent performance across cycles. Unlike cables, which can move freely when slack, the belt's width restricts movement, making it easier to manage. This kit is highly adaptable and can be mounted to almost any goBILDA® structure. Its extension end includes a grid pattern of both thru-holes and threaded holes for secure component attachment. The kit supports stable linear motion, allowing extension in any direction, with a maximum travel distance of 976mm and a compact retracted length of 384mm. Users can install a motor of their choice to operate the Viper-Slide Kit. It is compatible with the goBILDA® 5203 Series Yellow Jacket Planetary Gear Motors, utilizing a 60 Tooth GT2 Pulley that drives the kit 120mm per rotation. The kit achieves full extension at approximately 8.1 rotations of the motor's shaft. For optimal performance, a 13.7:1 (435RPM) gear motor is recommended, capable of extending all four stages in about 1.2 seconds. Note: Due to the high potential speed, it is advised to use the encoder on the 5203 Series motor to start and stop the kit at appropriate limits.
