The Sherline 12-Inch Deluxe Tabletop Mill Package A with DRO (Metric) (EU) is a sophisticated milling machine designed to enhance precision and versatility in machining tasks. This package is equipped with a digital readout system that provides accurate measurements of table travel across three axes, ensuring meticulous control over milling operations. The digital readout box, coupled with special handwheels featuring built-in electronic encoders, allows for precise adjustments and displays spindle RPM whenever the motor is operational. This feature is adaptable to both inch and metric systems, making it suitable for a variety of applications.
This tabletop mill is ideal for producing small, precision parts from materials such as wood, plastic, aluminum, and steel. Despite its compact size, it offers the precision and accuracy of a full-sized machine, making it a valuable tool for both hobbyists and professionals. The machine's design includes a 12-inch base and a robust 90V DC motor with an electronic speed controller, providing a wide range of spindle speeds for different machining requirements.
The digital readout system enhances the user experience by simplifying the tracking of distance and direction, thereby reducing the potential for errors. It also features an electronic backlash elimination function, which improves accuracy by compensating for any play in the handwheel movements. The power supply is versatile, automatically adjusting to accommodate electrical currents from 120V to 240V, making it suitable for use in various regions.
Included in the package are essential accessories such as a step block hold-down set, a milling vise, and a selection of cutting tools, including a fly cutter with a carbide bit and a set of double-ended end mills. These components, along with the Sherline Accessories Shop Guide book, provide users with the tools and knowledge necessary to undertake a wide range of milling projects. The machine also features oil reservoirs on the X, Y, and Z axes to ensure smooth operation and longevity.
Note: Ensure proper electrical compatibility and use a wall socket adapter if necessary when operating outside North America.
