Sherline 3-Axis Lathe DRO (")
Enhances lathe with 3-axis digital readout
Utilizes single display for lathe and mill
Supports inch and metric measurements
Automatically switches 120V to 240V
Upgraded chip for broad compatibility
The Sherline 3-Axis Lathe DRO (") is designed to enhance the functionality of a lathe equipped with a vertical milling column by providing a comprehensive 3-axis digital readout, akin to that found on a milling machine. This system offers a practical solution for users who own both a lathe and a mill, allowing them to utilize a single electronic display box for both machines. The input cables can be easily disconnected, enabling the readout box to be transferred between the lathe and the mill as needed. For those who already have a DRO fitted to one machine, an upgrade is available to facilitate the use of the existing display box with the other machine.
The digital readout system is equipped with an upgraded DRO chip, ensuring compatibility with both ball screw and leadscrew machines. It features six operational modes to accommodate various machine types and display preferences, supporting both inch and metric measurements. The power supply is designed to automatically switch between 120V and 240V, making it suitable for use in countries with 220-240 volt electrical systems. Users outside North America may require a wall socket adapter to utilize the power supply.
When ordered as a factory-installed option on a new machine, the digital readout handwheels replace the standard handwheels, which are not included in such configurations. However, if the DRO is purchased separately and installed by the user, the original handwheels will remain available as spare parts.
