The Sherline Boring Tool, 5\16" min. hole, 1.5" max. depth is crafted from high-speed steel and is specifically designed for use with the Sherline boring head. It features a 3/8" diameter shank and is capable of reaching a maximum depth of 1.5 inches. This tool can be adapted for smaller holes by grinding, and it is also compatible with the round hole of a 3/8 tool post on a lathe for boring operations. The shank includes a flat side to facilitate secure tightening with the set screw of the boring head.
