The Sherline Mill Column Riser Block is designed to enhance the functionality of a milling machine by increasing the height of the mill column. By raising the column an additional two inches, the riser block facilitates greater versatility in milling operations.
Installation involves removing the milling column from the mill base, placing the two-inch extension block beneath the column base, and securing it with longer bolts that pass through the block and tighten into the mill column block. Once installed, the milling column can be aligned and operated as usual. If the milling task necessitates travel down to the table surface, the riser block can be easily removed, allowing the mill column to return to its original height.
