The system allows for the entry of parameters such as direction, travel distance, feed rate, and program pauses, supporting up to 40 programmed steps across two user-settable programs. The stepper motor is equipped with dual ball bearings and a preload nut to eliminate endplay, and it connects to the leadscrew via a dampened coupling. For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to keep the dovetail and screw lubricated with light oil, as heavy use may cause wear on the anodized coating over time.
Note: Do not use WD-40 as a lubricant on these slides, as it will remove the anodized coating from the parts.
