The SparkFun GNSS Flex pHAT - ZED-X20P & IM19 IMU integrates a ZED-X20P all-band RTK receiver with a high-precision IMU, offering centimeter-level accuracy, tilt compensation, and dead reckoning capabilities. This device serves as a crucial interface between a Raspberry Pi and the modular SparkPNT ecosystem, ensuring precise navigation for demanding applications. It supports advanced positioning technologies such as Real-time Kinematics (RTK), PPP-RTK, and Precise Point Positioning, and is compatible with L-band correction services.
The high update rate of this pHAT ensures smooth operation in high-speed robotics and vehicle control systems. Security features include multi-layered defenses such as Root of Trust, jamming and spoofing detection, and Galileo OSNMA cryptographic authentication. The device offers survey-grade accuracy with roll and pitch measurements accurate to within 0.05 degrees, and employs sensor fusion to maintain continuous navigation even during brief GNSS signal interruptions. It is equipped with both SMA and U.FL connectors for flexible antenna connections and includes a USB-C port for an alternative data interface. An external antenna and a Raspberry Pi or similar single-board computer are required for operation.
