Many volts went in and, shockingly, just as many came out. It was quite the opposite result on the RB-Dfr-182 product. I couldn't be more pleased.

A good way to connect power
This plug goes with the 2.1mm Barrel Jack (socket). I have a few sockets wired up to 12V in an off-grid cabin, and connect low power devices through them for LED lighting and phone charging (via 12 V to 5V USB buck converters) and fans (direct 12V).
