The Waveshare 2.13" NFC-Powered e-Paper Evaluation Kit, Wireless Powering & Data Transfer (Not Compatible w/ Samsung Smartphones) is an innovative solution for those seeking a battery-free display technology. This kit utilizes passive NFC technology, allowing for wireless powering and data transfer without the need for a battery, thus eliminating concerns about battery life and messy wiring. The e-paper display can be refreshed using a smartphone with NFC capabilities or an NFC reader, providing a seamless and stable operation.
The kit includes an NFC-powered e-paper, an NFC reader, a micro SD card, and other essential accessories, making it ready for immediate use. The NFC board features the ST25R3911B NFC chip and the AT32F413RBT7 controller, which is based on the ARM® 32-bit Cortex™-M4F architecture. This setup supports various communication interfaces and includes an OLED display, user buttons, and commonly used interfaces for enhanced functionality.
This e-paper evaluation kit is particularly suitable for applications such as price tags, asset or equipment tags, shelf labels, and conference name tags. It offers a display with a resolution of 250×122 and a viewing angle greater than 170 degrees, ensuring clear visibility. The display refreshes in approximately two seconds, excluding data transfer time, and presents content in black and white.
