The Waveshare Industrial Modbus RTU 8-Ch Relay Module w/ Digital Input & RS485 Interface is an advanced industrial relay module designed for robust and reliable control applications. It features eight relay channels and eight digital inputs, all managed via the RS485 bus using the Modbus RTU protocol. This module is equipped with embedded protection circuits, including power isolation, magnetic isolation, and TVS diode protection, ensuring high stability and safety in operation.

The module's design incorporates a rail-mounted ABS plastic enclosure, facilitating easy installation and secure usage. It supports configurable device addresses, allowing multiple devices to be cascaded on the RS485 bus. The relay module also includes a flash-on and flash-off function, enabling timed relay activation. The onboard unibody power supply and magnetic isolation provide stable voltage and signal isolation, enhancing reliability and reducing power consumption.

Additional features include a resettable fuse and TVS for surge and transient voltage protection, optocoupler isolation to prevent interference from high-voltage circuits, and a dedicated relay driver chip with flyback diode protection for enhanced driving capability.
