The Waveshare JetBot Professional Version ROS AI Kit Accessories, Dual Controller AI Robot, Lidar Mapping (No Jetson) (EU) is an advanced robotic platform designed for sophisticated applications such as Lidar mapping, autonomous navigation, and intelligent speech processing. This dual-controller AI robot is compatible with the NVIDIA Jetbot open-source project and features enhanced hardware for superior performance. It is equipped with a Raspberry Pi RP2040 chip and a high-power encoder DC gear motor with an all-metal gear structure, ensuring robust and efficient operation.
The robot supports SLAM Lidar mapping, utilizing odometer, IMU, Lidar, and various mapping algorithms including Gmapping, Hector, Karto, and Cartographer. It is capable of path planning, autonomous navigation, dynamic obstacle avoidance, and adaptive Monte Carlo localization. The system can execute single-point navigation, multi-point patrol navigation, and mapping while navigating, making it highly versatile for different operational scenarios.
For vision processing, the robot integrates the OpenCV vision library, which facilitates object recognition, target tracking, and automatic driving. The 8MP camera with a 160-degree field of view is optimized for OpenCV vision development. Additionally, the robot includes a USB audio chip with high-quality MEMS silicon microphones and dual speakers, supporting intelligent speech processing for effective human-robot interaction.
The robot's design incorporates a 360-degree laser ranging Lidar for comprehensive environmental scanning and a built-in high-precision 9-axis motion attitude sensor. The circuit design features a battery protection circuit for enhanced safety and stability, with real-time battery status displayed on an onboard OLED. The expansion board is highly integrated, ensuring seamless operation and connectivity.
