Comes with online resources and manual for development
The Waveshare RS485 CAN HAT for Raspberry Pi facilitates stable long-distance communication between Raspberry Pi and other devices. It integrates a standard 40PIN GPIO extension header, supporting Raspberry Pi series boards. The device features a CAN function with an onboard MCP2515 controller via SPI interface and a SIT65HVD230DR transceiver. Additionally, it includes an RS485 function controlled via UART, supporting half-duplex communication with automatic TX/RX control. The HAT is equipped with a 120Ω terminal resistor for RS485 and CAN interfaces, enabled via a DIP switch, and a transient voltage suppressor for surge protection.
Standard Raspberry Pi 40-pin GPIO extension header, compatible with Raspberry Pi series boards
CAN function with onboard CAN controller MCP2515 via SPI interface and onboard transceiver SIT65HVD230DR
RS485 function controlled via UART, supporting half-duplex communication with automatic TX/RX control, featuring onboard transceiver SP3485
Onboard 120Ω terminal resistor for RS485 and CAN interfaces, enabled via DIP switch
Onboard TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) effectively suppresses surge voltage and transient spike voltage in the circuit for RS485 transceiving, providing lightning protection and anti-electrostatic features
Reserved control header allows integration with other control boards
Includes online development resources and manual with examples in wiringPi and Python
