The Waveshare SX1303 868m/915m LoRaWAN Gateway HAT for Raspberry Pi, Standard Mini-PCIe Socket (W/ HAT) is a sophisticated module designed for long-range communication and high node capacity. It integrates the advanced SX1302/3 normal band chip, which is renowned for its low power consumption and high receiving sensitivity, allowing for efficient heat dissipation and reduced material costs. This gateway module supports concurrent communication, making it ideal for high throughput situations.

The module features a Semtech SX1302/3 band chip and an SX1250 radio RF front-end chip, providing +26dBm emit power and -141dBm high sensitivity receiving gain. It supports Fine Timestamp and network positioning based on the time difference of arrival (TDOA), enhancing its precision and reliability. The 52-pin Mini-PCIe socket facilitates easy integration into various embedded systems, while the onboard 4 LED indicators provide clear status updates.

The HAT is equipped with a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header, ensuring compatibility with Raspberry Pi series boards. It incorporates the L76K module with GPS/BD support, delivering accurate clock and location information for the gateway module. The device supports modulation through LoRa/(G)FSK and operates on a 5V power supply, utilizing communication buses such as SPI and I2C.
