Devantech iceWerx iCE40-HX8K FPGA
Features an easy to use FPGA module
Provides 4 x 10-bit analogue channels
Generates a 12MHz clock
The Devantech iceWerx iCE40-HX8K FPGA an on-board PIC16LF1459 takes care of USB programming. FPGA reset and start-up and also provides 4 * 10-bit analogue channels. These are available via a serial port to the FPGA. The PIC also generates a 12 MHz clock to the FPGA which may be multiplied in a PLL as required.
Power is from USB or a nominal 5 volts (3.5 V to absolute max. 6 V). By taking care of all the multiple power supply, sequencing and bitstream support, iceWerx provides an easy to use FPGA module ready to integrate into your own project.
Board was as advertised, clean layout. The FPGA came loaded with a blink application. My first app, a slightly different blink, loaded with no issues. Used the Icestorm tools and the app written by the folks at robot- electronics to download the image. My only complaint about this board is that the pin row headers are at 2 mm spacing rather than the more common 2,54 mm.

Good product, great value!
I strongly recommend using the open source tool chain.

Works as Intended But Lack of Specs
This FPGA works fine with the icestorm toolchain, but before ordering, I did not know the device had small 2mm pins, so I had to order 3rd party adapter wires to do IO. I could not find a manual anywhere and one similar manual did not provide pin information. Other than that this is a great product!
